ZEUS and FELIXThese tiny little GreekSTRAYS were found by a couple of Australians (Tammy and her friend) who were on vacation in Ermioni. They found three babies by the bins, when they were probably only a few days old. Luckily it was they that found them, otherwise they would have been in the bins and died long ago. As the babies would need feeding every 4 hours, we agreed that we would care and feed the babies, so that the girls could continue to enjoy their holidays. Sadly, after a few days, little JOHNATHAN died, he didn't make it as he was too weak. Now ZEUS and FELIX are with us and hopefully they will get stronger each day, until the day comes when they will be reunited with Tammy, naturally a little older and bigger I might add. The girls absolutely adored these babies and came to visit them daily whilst they were with us. So when the time came, we obtained them their passports and vaccinations, so they were ready to start their journey, with their new owners, to their new home in Germany.
Although we had offered to keep and look after the babies until they were at least three to four months old before they went to Germany, Tammy and her friend were insistent to take the 2 babies with them upon their return from their Ermioni vacations. They could't wait to get them home.
The area where these kittens were found has many feral stray pussy cats. So this area will be targeted within the next few weeks, to get as many cats neutered there as possible. For ZEUS and FELIX, this will be a happy ending, but tragically many are not so lucky when they are dumped, which is heartbreaking, so hopefully with control methods, the number of unwanted kittens can be reduced.
